Radius Child and Youth Services Offers Children’s Aid Societies Complimentary Access to their Consultation Services

RCYS News & Stories

May 11, 2020 (Toronto) – Family violence is intensifying as Ontario self-isolates due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In urgent response, senior clinical staff and consultants at Radius Child and Youth Services are making their consultation services available to front line staff and supervisors at all Children’s Aid Societies across the province. Access to this service will be completely free of charge.

Consultations related to childhood trauma, sexual abuse, sibling sexual abuse, children with concerning sexual behaviours, and safety plan reviews and revisions, will all be made available. We understand that this crisis has placed extremely high demands on all our front-line child welfare workers, and we want to help the helpers.

Radius Child and Youth Services provides specialized mental health services for children, youth and families affected by interpersonal abuse, neglect, and violence. Radius also offers services for children under 12 years old who have engaged in concerning sexual behaviour and adolescents who have engaged in sexually abusive behaviour. We are a multidisciplinary team comprised of social workers, psychotherapists, psychometrists, researchers, and psychologists. Radius is the province’s largest provider of this specialized care.
