The campaign is marked by the purple ribbon and on October 24, 2019 we will be dressing in purple for our Go Purple Day! Show your support by wearing purple on October 24th!

What is Child Abuse Prevention Month?
Every October, organizations across the province raise awareness about the role that adults and communities play in supporting vulnerable children, youth, and families. On Ontario Dress Purple Day, boards of education, schools, and many others speak up for every child and youth’s right to safety and well-being in all spaces and to celebrate the community that cares for kids. At Radius, we are joining this movement to create awareness and raise funds to provide timely, specialized treatment and services for kids and families affected by abuse.
What can you do to support Radius’ Child Abuse Prevention Month?
Big or small, every bit of effort will make a huge difference in the lives of kids and families in our local communities. There are endless ways you could help. You could wear a purple ribbon throughout the month of October. You could set up a personal fundraising page through CanadaHelps and help spread the word about child abuse. You could ask your employer to have a casual Friday for staff where all funds raised will be directed back to Radius’ Campaign. And these are only a few ideas. Our campaign guide and toolkit will help coach you to success, but if you get stuck, call or send us an email . We’re always here to help!
What is Child Abuse?
Child abuse refers to the violence, maltreatment, and/or neglect that a child or young person may experience while in the care of someone they trust or on whom they depend. During the month of October, Radius is working hard to bring awareness about child abuse prevention.
