In response to the declaration of emergency directing Ontarians to limit all non-essential outings, Radius has worked to develop telecare options to ensure continued safe and effective client care when in-person meetings are not possible.  Specifically, Radius is offering complimentary consultation services to all front-line staff and Supervisors at all Ontario Children’s Aid Societies. We are #HereToHelpON. We have also developed two new Online Parent Education Workshops in partnership with Thrive Child & Youth Trauma Services. Learn more below.

Helping the Helpers:

Radius has been providing complimentary consultation services to front line staff and supervisors at Ontario Children’s Aid Societies. These consultations have related to childhood trauma, sexual abuse, sibling sexual abuse, children and youth exhibiting concerning sexual behaviours, and safety planning, and are intended to expand the capacity of child protection workers to increase safety for children at an early stage of intervention. For more information about our complimentary consultation services, please contact our Intake Coordinator, Sarah Byrne at 647-324-8177 or email: intake@radiuschild-youthservices.ca.

Online Parent Education Workshops:

In a new partnership, Thrive Child & Youth Trauma Services (https://www.thrivechildandyouth.ca/) has generously made available their online parenting courses for parents utilizing Radius’ services. Courage to Tell is a 2-session workshop designed to coach parents and caregivers on how to support their child immediately following a new disclosure of sexual abuse. ABCs of CSB is a 2-session workshop which provides parents and caregivers with essential information about how to manage and support children under age 12 exhibiting concerning sexual behaviours. Both workshops are self-directed and completed at a pace comfortable to the participant. For further information about the online parent education workshops, please contact our Intake Coordinator, Sarah Byrne, at 647-324-8177 or email: intake@radiuschild-youthservices.ca.
