Throughout the spring and summer, the Radius Training Institute (RTI) has been working to build more educational and supportive online courses for families, caregivers and support people as well as a central hub for professionals accessing our trainings or Communities of Practice. The first to be developed, “The Courage to Tell” will be a self-directed, online course for parents/caregivers whose children have experienced sexual abuse. The filming took place at our Etobicoke office in May and June.
In 2021, we began to develop a comprehensive Learning Management System (LMS) that would provide an easy-to-use platform for training and consultation anywhere in the province or nationally. Beginning in the spring of 2021, the RTI began using the LMS to deliver training to other organizations and individuals in the field. We continue to work to bring more online courses to parents, professionals and stakeholders. Stay tuned for The Courage to Tell workshop as well as The ABC’s of CSB. Exciting progress is being made at the Radius Training Institute and we cannot wait to share more news in the future!
Radius is grateful for the collaborations on these courses with Thrive Child and Youth Services, LearnBase and OTBxAir. Thanks to everyone for believing in the work we do!
