Radius’ Annual General Meeting – September 14, 2022

Come one, come all! We hope that you will be able to attend our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday, September 14th at 4:00pm as we report on and celebrate our achievements throughout 2021 and 2022. This year, the AGM will be a hybrid event. This means you can choose how you feel most comfortable to attend – either in-person at our Eva Road location OR via ZOOM. Have You Met Lexus?

She’s the star of the Radius Unconditional Furry Friend (RUFF) Program. Lexus is a 4-year-old black Labrador. Lexus began her journey at Radius in July of 2021 with an intensive training program provided by the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides, culminating with her graduation on July 16th. Her training continued throughout the summer and last fall Lexus began her in-office work at Radius.

Lights, Camera, Action!

Throughout the spring and summer, the Radius Training Institute (RTI) has been working to build more educational and supportive online courses for families, caregivers and support people as well as a central hub for professionals accessing our trainings or Communities of Practice. The first to be developed, “The Courage to Tell” will be a self-directed, online course for parents/caregivers whose children have experienced sexual abuse. The filming took place at our Etobicoke office in May and June.

Meet Our Clinical Therapist, Angie Lau!

We’d like you to get to know us better and what better way to do that than meeting one of our Clinical Therapists – Angie Lau! Angie has been with Radius since September 2019. Angie completed her undergraduate at University of Ottawa in Criminology and Psychology.  After having an opportunity to do a practicum in a forensic psychiatry unit, she decided social work would be a better fit.  Angie then completed her masters in social work at Wilfred Laurier University.
