We are thrilled that our very own Clinician, John Walker, and his co-author, Daniyal Zuberi, have had their research published in the Journal of International Migration and Integration. Their work entitled “School-Aged Syrian Refugees Resettling in Canada: Mitigating the Effect of Pre-migration Trauma and Post-migration Discrimination on Academic Achievement and Psychological Well-Being” is sure to benefit many in the field for years to come.
Radius is committed to providing multiple student-based opportunities to gain experience, insight, and training in one of Radius’ programs and services. Along with clinical placements, Radius offers a research-training program to university and college students at all levels.
Every year, Radius partners with the Gardiner Museum of Ceramic Arts in Toronto to offer children and youth an art therapy based approach to healing from the impacts of abuse. And this year was no different! An amazing group of young artists created a wonderful exhibit that was presented to the public from June 19 to 24.
Each year, YPI Canada grants hundreds of thousands of dollars to community-based social service charities.
Every year, Radius Child and Youth Services is the grateful recipient of a number of fundraising events held by amazing individuals and organizations.
Our Anti-Racism, Anti-Oppression (ARAO) committee provides leadership and strategies in aims of demonstrating our commitment to anti-oppression and anti-racism in all areas of our work. With the ARAO committee’s guidance, we have adopted the use of personal pronouns in our Radius email signatures.
